Reading helps a person become a trustworthy writer or source of information by providing solid foundations in organizing ideas based on established facts and truths. It's also critical for expanding our perspectives, expanding possibilities, and generating new options for living a better life. As indicated by Swatii (2020), Media outlets are notorious for reporting news in a biased manner, potentially influencing news consumers' beliefs and behavior. As a result, it is critical to track bias in everyday news and to create a platform where individuals may obtain unbiased and unequivocal news information.
According to Narjes (2015), imparting media literacy is the best way to protect young people from harmful effects. Equipping yourself with a love of reading is an invigorating process. The only disadvantage is that some people do not understand the value of reading, even though the world is experiencing information overload through all forms of media in the current generation. This is supported by Rutzler (2020), gaining a solid understanding through reading is critical in today's culture. It facilitates the creation of links between ideas and improves the ability to properly evaluate and ponder information collected from a variety of sources. Thus, being media literate is very important in today's society to prevent believing fake news and to help people to think critically.
